Hello there…..it’s been a while, no? Welll, we’ve been busy brewing up an antidote to the horrifying dystopian headlines bombarding us on the daily. We’re raising $$ for the proof of concept short for our afrofuturist feature film project GODSPEED.
Brandy Fitzgerald knew who she was and where she was going…until reality changed. The year is 2040. Brandy is a tech editor at a Web publication who gets caught up with her passion project: an algorithm that she’s created on her own time. She becomes obsessed with completing and perfecting her algorithm, which turns out to be the KEY to the rest of her life.
This is a portrayal of Black women that we never see, despite the fact that there are PLENTY of nerdy Black girls with mad love for math, science and tech. Help us make this film a reality by getting behind our IndieGoGo campaign: SHARE IT, SUPPORT IT.
